Kuliah S2 Lewat Beasiswa LPDP

Di samping itu perjuangan septy untuk melanjutkan S2 tak semudah orang pada umumnya. Ia adalah anak seorang petani asal Dusun Glagah Ombo, desa nampan, kecamatan sukorejo, kabupaten ponorogo, jawa timur. Untuk meraih S2 ia harus berjuang mencar beasiswa. Meski berasal dari keluarga sederhana, tapi impian septy ingin menempuh pendidikan setinggi-tingginya. Beruntung, kemauan septy selalu didukung oleh keluarga.

Orang tua saya selalu bilang tidak apa-apa orang tuanya cuma lulusan SMP dan SD yang penting anaknya bisa sukses, Ungkapnya dikutip dari laman FEB UGM. Sebelum mendaftar S2 di fakultas ekonomi dan bisnis (FEB ) UGM, septy sempat gagal daftar di kampus yang sama. Pada 2022 lalu, ia sudah mendaftar S2 akuntansi UGN tetapi gagal.

Dikarenakan septy kuliah dengan uang beasiswa dari negara, ia berkomitmen untuk tudak menyia-nyiakan masa kuliahnya. Selama 1,5 tahun, septy berhasil menerbitkan dua publikasi ilmiah di asian journal of business and accounting dan ekuitas: jurnal pendidikan ekonomi. Selain itu ia juga pernah ikut seminar bergengsi yang diadakan oleh akuntan indonesia kompartemen akuntan pendidikan di bengkulu. Tak hanya kuliah, septy pun berkerja paruh waktu di pusat kajian akutansi pendidikan (PKAP).

Saya selalu memiliki jam kerja untuk mengerjakan tesis, dari pukul 8 pagi hingga 4 sore setiap hari. Jadi, setiap hari saya sempatkan untuk pergi perpustakaan kampus. Waktu pagi saya manfaatkan untuk menulis sedangkan sore hari lebih gokus untuk membaca jurnal,” paparnya.
